ANTONIO BERNARDO was born in 1947 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Even as a small child, Antonio had a fascination with jewelry. His father, Rudolf Herman, was a Brazilian goldsmith whose shop specialized in jewelry and watchmaking. In 1968, Antonio studied in Switzerland and interned at watchmaking companies Ebauches and Leschot. He worked from home in Rio de Janeiro for almost a decade and in 1981, opened his first shop. Led by motivation and determination, Antonio created a special diamond cut called Wish Star. In 2000, his flagship store launched in Brazil, soon followed by international expansion. Antonio’s designs are innovative and detailed, making for unique, contemporary pieces of jewelry.
