Jaclyn Davidson (USA)

JACLYN DAVIDSON specializes in the manipulation of metal, creating sculptural designs that are as unique as they are versatile. Hand-forging her work by means of heating, hammering, plying, and stretching metal, Jaclyn’s collections often draw from mythology and ancient craft. Her pieces are kept in a compact manner and often lack a conventional front and back, in order to reward “the viewer…for willingness to examine each piece from all perspectives.” Jaclyn has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Best in Show award from the Philadelphia Craft Show. Her work has undergone a dramatic change over the past five years, yet Jaclyn continues to innovate while remaining true to the natural processes that defines her art.
